Western Saddle Fitting
I offer a personalized Western saddle fitting that starts by carefully assessing the bar and tree angles to ensure the saddle aligns with your horse’s unique body shape. I observe your horse’s movement to detect any imbalances or asymmetry, such as the saddle leaning to one side, and make adjustments using shims or pads to correct it. After the necessary adjustments, I’ll watch you ride to ensure the saddle is stable, comfortable, and balanced for both you and your horse. This service is for current saddles or saddles on trial only, as I am unable to advise on which saddle to purchase if you are shopping for a new one.
Saddle Fit Evaluation
I provide a comprehensive saddle fit evaluation, where I assess the tree and bar angles, as well as the panel and tree design, to ensure they match your horse’s unique body shape. During the evaluation, I identify areas of imbalance, pressure points, or asymmetry. If adjustments are needed, I will recommend one of my fitting services to correct and optimize the fit for your horse’s comfort and performance.

My dynamic wool panel flocking adjustment service customizes the fit of your saddle to your horse’s unique shape. I adjust the flocking to the contours and symmetry of your horse’s body, to create an orthotic-like fit that ensures optimal comfort and balance. This personalized approach promotes better saddle stability, enhances your horse’s movement, and provides a more balanced, enjoyable ride. To finish the appointment, I will observe you riding to ensure the fit for both you and your horse is comfortable and balanced.
Foam PAnel Dynamic Fit
I start by statically assessing the tree and panel fit to ensure it suits your horse’s shape. Using my hands, I feel the saddle to identify any pressure points or imbalances, then explain where and why I’m making adjustments to improve the fit. I watch your horse walk and trot in hand to ensure the saddle is stabilized and balanced. The fitting concludes with a final ride evaluation to ensure both you and your horse are comfortable, balanced, and supported.
